2015 Regional Convention!
News Letter #2! !
Greetings Shipmates, Auxiliary Members, Distinguished Members and Guests! !
We are now less than 2 months from the Regional Convention and plans are starting to
come together. The convention dates are 12-15 August 2015. Some folks will arrive as
early as the 11th for convention prep, and most folks will depart on Sunday morning the
16th. 

The convention is being held at the same location as the mid year; the Downtown
Holiday Inn located at 102 Lake Street, Shreveport, La. The phone number for reservations
is 318-222-7717, and our code is “FRR”. Please be sure to give them the code.
They are all set up and are taking our reservations. Please let me or Russ Miller know if
you encounter any reservations problem at all.! !

The opening ceremony will begin at 0930 on Friday the 14th of August! !
Your Convention Committee is working to get some kind of activity scheduled for Thursday
the 13th of August, but nothing is firm yet; we will stay on it.! !
The theme for the welcome aboard party is a beach theme, so come prepared for some
beach fun.! !

The menus and meals order forms are forthcoming in the next few days. Please get
your meals order in to the Regional Treasurer S/M Mike Snyder as soon as you can after
receipt of the form. !
Of course the sooner the better because that makes it much easier to finalize convention
plans.! !
I am looking forward to a good turnout for our return to Shreveport so please do not
