Subject:Fwd: Diesel Boat (USS Chopper)
As a "Old" diesel sailor, my boats were ( Blenny
(SS-324), Bashaw (SSK-241), and Barbero (SSG-17), this really put a lump in
my throat. It takes one back to when he was young, full of pee and
vinegar, and indestructible. Thanks to Charlie Steed for passing it along.

This is a Super 8 video shot aboard USS Chopper in the late
50s by Phil Worful, now on eternal patrol. Shipmate Fred Hasle had it
converted to DVD and gave it to me to share.
Youse guys with diesel oil running in your veins will like
this. Try not to drool all over the keyboard.
This is about 16 mins in length. The Chopper as I
remember was stationed in Key West. Tommy Cox is the singer and the
songs are repeated but should bring back happy thoughts from the OLD Days…
There one shot that shows a TM loading a torpedo with shined shoes….That I
don’t believe. KingBing sends
